Short-term rental cleaning is a discipline of its own. It's not a regular house clean. It's not a deep clean. It's a precision turnaround performed in a tight window between checkout and check-in, to a hotel-like standard that every guest expects regardless of whether your property is a studio apartment in Surfers Paradise or a four-bedroom house in Melbourne's inner east. Squeaky Lemon's short-term rental cleaning service provides vetted, experienced local Pros who understand exactly what that standard requires.

What a professional short-term rental turnaround covers:

Every bathroom is fully sanitised between guests — toilet, shower, bath, sink, mirrors, floors — with particular attention to high-touch surfaces that spread pathogens between occupancies. This is non-negotiable.

Fresh linen is changed in every bedroom. Your Pro will make up each bed to a presentation standard — straight, tucked, guest-ready — using the linen you provide. Linen is not supplied by Squeaky Lemon.

The kitchen is cleaned to a standard that gives the next guest full confidence in using it: benchtops, stovetop, sink, appliance exteriors, and microwave interior. If guests have left dishes, these are addressed as part of the turnaround.

All high-touch surfaces throughout the property are sanitised between every stay: door handles, light switches, remote controls, key fobs, and any shared surfaces in communal areas. Guests who arrive to a demonstrably clean and sanitised property leave better reviews.

Living areas, hallways, and all floors are cleaned to the same standard — dust, vacuum, mop, spot-cleaned — so the property looks and feels consistent from every angle, not just the rooms guests photograph.

Your Pro will check the property for damage or items left behind by departing guests and notify you before the next check-in. On request, the property can be photographed post-clean for your records.

Amenities restocking — soap, toilet paper, tea and coffee, welcome items — is included as part of the turnaround using supplies you provide. Consumables are the host's responsibility.

Pricing is $70 per hour, labour only. Cleaning products, linen, and consumables are provided by the host. Minimum booking is two hours ($140).

This is a standalone service per booking — frequency discounts do not apply, as each turnaround is an independent booking timed to your guest schedule. Pay only after the job is complete.
